About the Event Center

Located in downtown Durham, The Marvell Event Center is a unique, upscale social venue. The entertainment possibilities are endless! Every event is as special and important as each of our guests so our experienced staff will personally discuss and attend to your every request. The MarVell is the perfect location for both social gatherings such as birthday parties and work-related functions ranging from holiday parties to fundraisers. Conveniently located downtown, Durham, the Event Center proudly serves the community as well as the NCCU Eagles, and Duke Blue Devils.

The MarVell event Center is divided into two spaces-- the main lounge area on the second floor features a 17 foot bar, Dance floor, DJ booth and VIP section. A separate, 3rd floor offers a larger dance floor complete with sound and lighting, as well as another complete bar and great views of the American tobacco complex and Durham Bulls. A DJ booth occupies the spacious dance floor, but the area is also the ideal space for live music performances on either floor. When reserving your function, please specify if you are interested in a DJ or live entertainment. The MarVell Event center has played host to a number of events including live bands, poetry events, open-mic, and comedy shows.
